Caprivi Car Hire started in January 1996. Since then we have bought Kessler Car Hire in 2001. Our main goal is giving an outstanding service with a wide range of vehicles. Our fleet varies from economic sedans to 4x4's with or without camping equipment (Land cruiser Bushcampers fully equipped also Available for self drives) and luxury 4x4(Toyota Fortuner) as well as Toyota Avanza and Toyota Quantum 14 seaters. We can equip our vehicles with the following Roof tents,water can,petrol can,storage box,cooking equipment,gas cooker,washing basin,cool box,chairs,table and a 12V fridge and are allowed in neighboring countries (South-Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana). Our entire 4 x 4 vehicles is equipped with a second spare wheel, small toolbox, jack, shovel, tow rope and fire distinguish-er We can equip the vehicle to your needs.
We cater for individual travelers as well as big groups. Our service includes airport transfers, 24-hour breakdown services and we can also make offers that includes drivers.

Caprivi Camper Hire Rental Terms

Rates included:
· Unlimited kilometers
· 2 Drivers
· Collusion damage waiver
· Theft loss waiver
· VAT
· Where applicable camping equipment
· Max.2 Transfers: Transfers from and to International Airport Windhoek. The Transfer after the vehicle drop off are at specific times only arranged by us.

Rates exclude:
· Fuel, Tyre, Lights,Windscreen and damages
· Delivery and Collection Fee
· Additional Driver (3rd+) Fees (20.00 N$ per day per person)
· Over border permit fees of 500.00 N$ per country
· Excess options
· Handling Fee of 450.00 N$ for damages
· Traffic tickets
· 20.00 N$ Contract Fee ( Stamp Duty)

Extensions:
· Should customer wish to extend his rental in excess of the voucher value, he will be charged the 7-14 day unlimited kilometers Rack Rate. The amount due will be collected direct from the Renter.
· The Renter has to inform Caprivi Car Hire 3 days prior of return date for extension of car rental

Cancellation Fees:
The deposit is non refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges apply:
·  Any cancellation received within 33 days will be charged 15% of the total rental value.
·  50% of total rental value will be charged if cancelled within 18 days before rental.
·  100% of total rental will be charged if client cancelled within 3 days.

General:
· Rentals are subject to the standard rental conditions as described on the current brochure and rental agreement.
· Driver minimum age is 23 and maximum age is 70 years. Should client not fall into this category, please consult our office.
· We only accept driving licenses in English or international driving licenses.
· The Renter must have a valid credit card for the Excess deposit. (Visa or Master Card only)
· Early Returns are not refundable.
· Rental charges are calculated from the time the vehicle reserved. Late collections are not credited.
· Night Driving outside of Towns are not allowed.
· Caprivi Car Hire is not liable for any loss and damages of personal property

Office Hours:
· Monday to Friday: 07h30 – 13h00 and 14h00 – 17h00
· Saturday, Sunday and public holidays only by appointment.

Collection of Vehicles:
Collection of Rental Vehicles are only possible until 16h00
Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays, Vehicles are only handed over on appointment. 

Return of Vehicles:
Vehicles can only be returned during Office Hours
07h30 – 13h00 and 14h00 – 17h00 subject to the Transfer times as specified by Caprivi Car Hire / Africa on Wheels.
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays Vehicles may only be returned on appointment
Caprivi Car Hire / Africa on Wheels is not liable / responsible for clients arriving outside agreed appointment times. 

Transfers:

Arrival:
Clients will be provided with one free Transport from the International Airport to Windhoek, where such flights arrive no later than 19h00.
Flights arriving after 19h00 will be charged as extra Transfer at a cost of N$480.00.

Departure:
One free Transfer from Windhoek to the International Airport are at specific Times only
Additional transfer falling outside of the scheduled / agreed transfer times including delays or alterations in the transfer times will be charged with N$ 480.00 

Transfers times:
Summer: 6h30, 08h30, 10h30, 12h30, 14h30, 16h00
Winter: 4h30, 07h30, 09h30, 11h30, 13h00, 16h00

Drop Off and collection Fees:
· Fees/one way - as on request (price are subject to change without prior notice)

Insurance Options:
· Rates includes Theft loss and collusion damage waivers
· Option 1: Client can purchase the benefits of the Reduced Excess Waiver (REW) and reduce the applicable excess.
· Option 2: Client can purchase the benefits of the Super Excess Cover (SEC) and reduce his liability. The SEC includes glass and tyre damages. If an accident is not caused by the renter, the excess will be Zero. Should an accident however occur, where no other vehicle or animal is involved, the Excess will be payable by the Renter.
· Every damage caused by the Renter is payable up to the excess amount.
· Car Accessories and Camping equipment is not insured
· If vehicle is damaged because of negligence, full damage value is payable.
· Replacement vehicle: In case of accident the renter has to sign a new contract, new excess and has to pay the rent for the remaining days and the Tow in Costs.
· Excess is double if accident occurred in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania.
· The security of the Excess chosen is required by credit card on collection of the vehicle.
· Insurance conditions and excesses may change without prior notice
· Super Excess Cover only rentals from 6 days +

Camping Equipment:
· Fully equipped vehicles include: Folding chairs and table, Grill Set, water can, gas cooker, neon lamp, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, sleeping bags +15º, 12 volt fridge, sheets and pillows, roof top tent.
· 2pax or 4pax available

Additional Equipment:
· 12 volt tyre pump
· Rubber sand mats
· GPS Navigation System
· Fuel cans
· 12 Volt Fridge
· Plastic cool box
· First Aid Kit
· Maps etc.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. If you encounter issues with the vehicle whilst on hire, you MUST report these issues directly to the relevant supplier at the earliest possible time. This will allow the supplier to remedy any issues and minimise any inconvenience to you.  If you fail to report any vehicle issues during your rental, it is likely that compensation will not be offered. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency): 25.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
